分析：感谢信应充分表达自己的谢意，切不可给对方草率的'印象。可借助谈对方的帮助来进一步表达感激之情。言辞应真挚、得体。大体可以分为三部分：1.指出对方帮助自己的事情，表示感谢;2.展开叙述这件事;3.再次感谢，并可表示希望回报对方。

Dear Xiao qiang,
I am writing to express my heartfelt gratitude. I am referring to that unfortunate accident the other day, when I was knocked off my bike by a taxi.
If it had not been for your timely assistance in giving me first aid, I fear that the consequences might have been much serious. Everyone agrees that it was your quick-witted response in that emergency that has led to this satisfactory outcome.

分析：建议信是写信人希望对解决问题有所帮助而向相关部门或者个人写的信件，其主要目的是提出自己的意见，希望对方能够采纳并采取相应行动。为了达到交际目的，所提建议要合理、可行、容易让对方接受。除此之外还需要注意语气要和善，要与对方拉近距离而不可盛气凌人。

I have been reading your newspaper for many years with a great enthusiasm and interest. It is my view that limiting/prohibiting the use of disposable plastic bags is of utmost significance.
To crack this hard nut, I would like to give/offer/render/propose several useful/practical recommendations as follows.
