英语单词记忆的原则

　　1.provoke 对......挑衅，激怒，引起

　　单词解析：pro 向前，在前+voke=call/voice 喊→在你面前喊→激怒你→激怒刺激。

　　英英:provoke=to cause the occurrence of (a feeling or action):to make (something) happen

　　例句：she provokes her sister by making a face at her.

　　她做鬼脸来挑衅她的姐姐。

　　If one firm goes under it could provoke a cascade of bankruptcies.

　　如果一家公司倒闭，便有可能引发一连串的破产。

　　His duty was to conciliate the people, not to provoke them.

　　单词解析：Comple充满+ment名词后缀→complement补足

　　英英：complement=to complement something else or make it better.

　　例句：nothing complements spaghetti like a glass of red wine.

　　Nutmeg, parsley and cider all complement the flavour of these beans well.
