　　妈妈是个文盲，认识的字不多，她只读到小学三年级，但她好学。即使读得书不多，也还是可以讲普通话，她也很喜欢看书，不懂的字不是去问我，就是去问字典。

　　就在这几天，为了给上初中打基础，我在背26个字母。妈妈看着26个字母，也轻轻地读起来。我就问道：“妈，你也会读呀？”妈妈看着字母说：“我不会，你可以教我呀！”妈妈的话把我震住了。“妈妈，你学这干嘛？”妈妈很洋气地说：“我不想被社会淘汰，我要开始学英语！”妈妈好像是抱着决心的。她朝表哥说：“阿宪，从今天起，你来教我英语，如果你肯教我，我今天就煮好东西慰劳你。”

　　那26个字母像一座沉重的.大山压在妈妈那儿。要知道，她对此真是一窍不通。不是“V”和“U”搞错，就是把“I”和“L”混淆，妈妈被这些字母搞得头晕眼花。如果妈妈不是用好东西诱惑表哥，我想表哥早就不想教她了。妈妈有时还会向我求教。我让她读给我听，她读道：“啊（A）笔（B）死（C）地（D）……”我一个一个地耐心纠正，妈妈一个一个耐心地学。

　　功夫不负有心人，妈妈终于把那些字母全部认识了，虽然还是发音不准，但已经很不错啦。再过几天妈妈就要叫表哥正式教英语单词和日常会话了。

　　妈妈就是那么好学，她的性格也很倔强，别人越是认为她不会，她越是要硬着头皮学会。这就是我的妈妈，黄蔚佳的妈妈。
