My friend Tom is a young boy who studies in the same class as me.He has a round face which looks like an apple.He loves playing soccer on the playground which is next to our school.He also likes to read novels which were written by famous writers.He goes to school by bike which was a present from his father.
解定语从句题得先搞清以下四个问题：
1、定语从句的作用相当于形容词，用来修饰主句中的某一名词或代词或整个主句。
2、被定语从句修饰的词叫先行词，定语从句一般要放在先行词之后(as 引导的除外)。
3、用来引导定语从句的词可分为关系代词(that, which, who,whose, whom, as)和关系副词(when, where, why)两大类(注意没有 what)。
4、关系代词一定要在定语从句中充当句子成分，如主语、宾语、定语等，关系副词在定语从句中作状语。
解题要遵循3个步骤：
1、根据题干结构和选择项判断从句类型是不是定语从句
2、分析定语从句中所缺的句子成分，如主语宾语状语等
3、根据先行词和所缺句子成分来选择关系代词还是副词

根据题干和选项可判断本题考查定语从句。
分析句子结构：Those successful deaf dancers think 是主句;
that dancing is an activity _______ sight matters more than hearing 是宾语从句;
宾语从句中的 sight matters more than hearing 是定语从句，修饰先行词 activity。
定语从句中有主语 sight(视觉)，且谓语 matter 为不及物动词，不需要宾语，因此，先否定作主语或宾语的 which 选项，同时也否定作定语的 whose 选项。
由于 activity 在这里不是指时间，因此否定 when 选项。
又由于在 dancing 这个活动中 sight 才 matters more than hearing，所以先行词 an activity 相当于抽象的地点，因此需用关系副词where(= in which)，本题的意思是：
那些成功的盲人舞蹈家认为舞蹈是一项视觉比听觉更重要的`活动。

2、freedom from want and freedom from fear，其中freedom from来自于形容词短语free from，表示“免除，没有”。另外要注意名词 want 意思为”贫困“。所以整个短语可译成”摆脱贫困，摆脱恐惧“。
