Cherish our college life
My original plan was sing a song today, but a several days ago I got a fever, my throat is not recovery yet, so I changed my plan and make a speech instead.
My topic of the speech is cherish our college life, Four years is a long time, but it is a short time in some perspective, Two years has passed before we knew it, Finals were nearing and so is the end of the school year. I think we should more cherish our life in the university, and gain some skill that will benefit us either for social activities or for our Professional field.
First of all, I believe that we should spend more time in the meaningful thing that will benefit us most. By cherishing college life, I don’t mean just seeking fun in our life everyday, but make everyday count, we might not be interested in our major, but we can take part in all kinds of activities held by various unions that can help widely broaden your sights to make you more informed. Besides rich and colorful outdoor activities, you can also attend many academic speeches or the course you may be fond of as well ,in which you can not only learn something beneficial but also you can entertainment both your body and your heart. Moreover, if it is convenient, you can travel on vacation to relax yourself after a busy term...
I remember a story I read in Steve Jobs：A Biography, Jobs dropped out of college and took only one semester because of economic factors, he lived in his friend’s garage, but he often went to the community university to attend the handwriting class. A few years later, he developed a computer called Macintosh installed with beautiful font. What he learned in the handwriting claprove to be meaningful. So don’t judge whether what you learn right now will be useful or not, just learn, and we can always benefit from it.

Hello! My name is Chen Junyu. I’m 11years old. I live in Weihui. I’m very glad to meet you here.
Today I’d like to tell you something about my dream. I want to be an engineer when I grow up. I want to build a spaceship. I want to travel to the moon. I’d like to plant our national flag on the moon.
I want to build a large spaceship. I’d like to take all my classmates to the moon. I know I must study hard. I must be the best pupil in my claand in my school. I’m now learning math, science, English and other subjects.
I’ll tell you a secret. My father is an engineer, too. He works on the first manned spaceship in our country.
I want to build a large spaceship. And this is my real dream. A large and fast spaceship.

Hi，everyone.Today my topic is about environmental protection.
Today the quality of our natural environment has become an important issue. The world population is rising so quickly that the world has become too crowded.
We are using up our natural resources and at the same time polluting our environment with dangerous chemicals. If we continue to do this, life on earth cannot survive.
Pollution has been a serious problem for a certain time around the world. There are many causes for it. Transportation is the main factor of pollution. When the waste gas from cars is released, the air is polluted. People breathing in the polluted air can develop respiratory disease. Another factor is that
people throw their garbage everywhere. All kinds of garbage not only spoil the splendid environment, but also cause environmental pollution. Wastewater from factories is also poured into rivers and this causes water pollution
Concerned people have made some progrein environmental protection. Governments of many countries have established laws to protect the air, forests and sea resources and to stop environmental pollution.
Still more measures should be taken to solve environmental problems. People should be further educated to recognize the importance of the problems, to use modern methods of birth control, to conserve our natural resources and recycle our products. We are sure that we can have a better and cleaner place in the future.

This year's summer vacation was most enjoyable. I spent fifteen days helping my grandparents doing farm work in the countryside， where I saw mountains and fields covered with green plants. Sometimes I went swimming in the river to the west of the village， the water in which was quite clear.
I kept a diary every day. Besides doing farm work， I help the children in the neighborhood with their lessons. All of them showed much interest in English. They could read and write well， but they could hardly understand simple English. So every day in the morning I spent about two hours helping them improve their listening and spoken English.
