　　1、教材的'主要内容

　　大学英语(二)课程根据全国高等教育自学考试指导委员会要求，使用全国统一教材，大学英语自学教程(上下册)，上册25单元，下册15单元。每单元两篇课文，A篇课文要求精读后主动掌握，B篇课文则只要求理解。

　　2、出题类型和规律

　　本课程自学考试命题的广度和难度根据本考试大纲规定的知识范围和能力要求确定。试题包括客观性试题和主观性试题，从目前考试趋势来看，分别占卷面总分的50%。考试题型包含七种，分别为：词汇与结构、完形填空、阅读理解、单词拼写、词形变化、汉译英、英译汉。

　　3、复习重点

　　本课程的重点是英语的基本词汇和语法，课程的主要目的是培养阅读能力。词汇的复习以大纲词汇为主，短语部分要熟练掌握，词汇记忆过程及方法如下：

　　①记忆过程

　　把大纲要求掌握的词汇，先大致地看几遍。“动词一一名词一一形容词一一副词一一介词”、“连词一一代词一一数词、量词” (动词是掌握的重点，要求做到会读、会写、会用，看见它能迅速地反应其意思和搭配)

　　②记忆方法

　　A.分类比较

　　a.将同类一组词汇放在一起记忆，当遇到其中一个词时，头脑中出现的就是一组词，效率大大提高了。

　　e.g. economy/ economic/ economical/ economically

　　cat/dog/ cattle/ sheep/horse/ chicken/ monkey

　　red/green/yellow/ purple/blue

　　b.还可以通过同义词、反义词辨析，同音异形词、词类转换词比较归纳等方式，想方设法将机械记忆转化为理解记忆，从而加深记忆痕迹，提高记忆效率。

　　e.g. buy/purchase，able/capable

　　negative/positive

　　increase/decrease

　　B.结合上下文情景记忆

　　把单词放在语境中才能真正了解其准确的意思，把抽象概念的词放在短语、句子或课文中背，才能对词的理解具体化。这样既容易记住，又能更好地了解它在具体语言环境中的运用。公共英语自学考试有其特殊性，考生在掌握单词和熟读课文的基础上，结合自考教材在课文中记忆单词。

　　C.重复强化记忆

　　根据遗忘规律，有计划地“重现”中巩固英语单词，能增强记忆效果。遗忘的规律是先快后慢，刚记住的材料，最初几个小时内遗忘的速度最快。如果四至七天内不复现，记忆将受到抑制，甚至完全消失。

　　语法要全面学习重点掌握。不仅要复习(下册)的语法内容，还要复习(上册)有关语法内容，具体包括：动词时态和语态、非谓语动词、虚拟语气、定语从句、名词性从句、状语从句、比较级、语序、主谓一致、强调句、基本句型;动词和复合句尤为重要。
