支付宝(Alipay)是中国最大的第三方在线支付平台，由阿里巴巴集团(Alibaba Group)于2004年创建。截至2012年底,支付宝拥有用户超过7亿。用户可利用这一平台支付各种费用，诸如网购、电话费、学费等等。以网购为例，买家先将钱存到支付宝账户，收到商品后，再通过支付宝将钱转给卖家。支付宝为其用户提供了“简单、安全、快速”的在线支付方式，保护了买卖双方的利益。
表达难点
1.第1句如果用并列结构逐字对译为Alipay is China's largest... and was founded by...则因时间逻辑关系(应先创建才能成为最大)而不符合英语表达习惯，故可将“由阿里巴巴集团于2004年创建”处理为状语，译为Founded by Alibaba Group in 2004，置于句首。
2.第3句中的“用户可利用这一平台支付各种费用”如直译为users can use this platform to pay all kinds of bills则显生硬，翻译时可用介词via来表达“利用”，译作users can pay various bills via the platform,使句子结构简洁明了。
3.第4句中的“以网购为例”意思独立完整，可单独译成一个句子Take online shopping as an example。
4.第4句中的后三个分句有三个动作“存钱”、“收货”和“转钱”，如果按照原结构翻译成英文，译文会比较繁冗平淡，故可考虑对句型结构进行重新整合，将“买家先将钱存到支付宝账户”作为句子的主句，而“转钱”这一动作的执行者可看作是“账户”，故后两句处理为which引导的定语从句，“收货”和“转钱”的`先后关系可用 not... until 来表示。本句也可译为 Buyers do not transfer their money, which is put into Alipay accounts in advance, to the sellers until they get their goods。

表达难点
1.翻译第2句“……女性群体在社会 各个领域产生了不可忽视的力量”时，先译出主干(females have the power)，再插入其他成分。“不可忽视的”处理为后置定语，既可用定语从句that cannot be ignored，也可用不定式短语not to be ignored来表达。状语“在社会各个领域”译作in every/each field of society，置于句末。
2. 第3句中的“越来越多的女性……任职，参与的......活动也明显增多”可用并列结构译出a growing number of females take office... and participate in...。但不如把后半句“参与的......”处理成前半句的结果状语，用现在分词短语participating in...来表达，使译文更具有逻辑性。
3.第4句中的“最近的一份调查数据显示”可表达为according to statistics from a recent survey，也可表达为 statistics form a recent survey showed that...。“每3位”可表达为 one in three，也可表达为 one out of three，还可延伸译作one third of。
