1.注重练习
The SSAT is just like other standardized tests: if you practice, you will feel more confident that you'll do well.
SSAT考试和其他标准考试一样，在练习中考生能够掌握各种题型的答题方法，同时也会更加自信。
2.加强阅读量
The best way to build your vocabulary and to get a better sense for the meanings of unfamiliar words is to see them in the context of other words.
增加词汇量和理解词汇在具体情境中的含义的最佳方式就是通过阅读，从字里行间中体会词汇的含义和用法。
3.重视自己的弱项
If you know you are weak in a particular subject, get help before you take the test.If you know that math is your weakest subject, make sure you address it as soon as you can. Begin early and practice every day if possible until your skills improve.
如果考生在考前能够明确自己的弱项科目，那么在备考前期就要制定好详细的备考计划。假如某个考生平时数学部分相对较弱，那么在备考前期就可以作为重点进行学习，经过每天的练习相信会有很大的提升。
4.考前做好充分的准备
The night before the test, gather everything you need: your admission ticket, pencils, a snack, etc. This will allow you time in the morning to eat a healthy breakfast and review, if necessary.
在考试的前一天，考生应该准备好所有需要的考试物品，比如：考试相关证件(准考证，护照)，铅笔，零食等。
5.考前注意休息
We can't stress enough the importance of trying to relax and get plenty of sleep the night before your exam.
考场保持放松的心情和良好的状态对考生的发挥非常重要，因此考生在考前几天一定要注重休息，调整好自己的睡眠时间，以便考试当天保持良好的状态。
6.考试当天提前到达
Make sure you read our rules on what to bring to the test center on test day. Find out exactly when to leave your house to arrive at the facility at least 30 minutes ahead of start time.
考生确保考试当天的出发时间，至少能够提前30分钟到达考场。
7.保持放松的心情
Your attitude and outlook will be reflected in the outcome of the test. Stay confident and calm throughout your exam. If you start to feel nervous or anxious, take a few deep breaths to collect yourself.
考生当天的心情会在很大程度上影响考场的发挥，因此在考试当天考生一定要保持放松的心情，考前做几个深呼吸，避免紧张焦虑的状态。
8.调整好做题速度
Don't spend too much time on one question, and don't speed through carelessly. If you get stuck on a question, skip it and return to it later if you have time (be sure to leave the bubble unmarked on your answer sheet for this question!) Read each question carefully and answer accurately.
在考场答题时，不要因为担心时间不够而一味的追求做题速度，这样反而会影响答题的正确率。如果考生遇到不会的题目，也不要花费太多时间进行分析，可以先放下继续做下面的`题目，如果还有时间的话再返回去思考，也许这个时候会有新的思路。
9.禁止作弊行为
Think that you can beat the system? Don't try it. Your future is at stake. One test score isn't worth a blot on your file.
在SSAT考场上如果被发现有任何违规行为，后果是非常严重的，也不仅关系到考生个人的诚信问题，还可能会影响考生日后的发展。
10.不要过分担心考试分数
Remember that SSAT scores are only one part of the picture the admissions staff sees.
