job英语口语训练
1. It’s a good job.
(1) 表示幸运或运气好，意为：还算幸运! 这也算幸运! 如：
Who would have thought it would turn to rain, aftersuch a bright start to the day? It’s a good jobwe brought our raincoats. 清早晴空万里，谁料竟会下起雨来? 幸好我们都带了雨衣。
It’s a good job you didn’t tell me that bad newslast night, because I would have been tooworried to sleep. 幸好你昨晚没有把这个坏消息告诉我，不然我会担心得都睡不着觉。
有时也说 It’s a good thing. 或只说 a good job. 如：
He’s gone, and a good job, too. 他走了，走了也好。
(2) 表示同意或称赞(通常只说成 Good job, too)，意为：干得好! 事情办得好! 如：
A：Mum, I’ve got my money back from the shop. 妈妈，我已向店铺把钱要回来了。
B：Good job, too! 干得好!
A：I didn’t tell her the news. 我没有告诉她这消息。
B：Good job, too! 对，不要告诉她。
2. It’s [That’s] just the job.
表示：那是我所需要的.。如：
A：A cup of tea? 要来一杯茶吗?
B：Oh，that’s just the job. I’m really thirsty. 啊，我正想要喝一杯，我可真的是渴了。
A：How about this one? 这个怎么样?
B：It’s just the job. 这正是我要的。
有时根据情况也可用其它时态。如：
If he could possibly come with us, it really wouldbe just the job. 要是他能同我们一起去，那可真是求之不得。
Thank you for that screw. That was just the job. 谢谢你给我的那个螺丝，那正是我所需要的。
