　　例题1

　　1、先看文章后面的问题，找出每一句题干中的关键词，特别关注时间、地点、专有名词、关键动词以及表示上下文逻辑关系的单词或者短语。

　　2、回到原文，阅读原文，按照题目顺序作答。

　　3、观察文章题目和每一段的第一句话，找出本段的主题句。

　　4、在阅读文章时，看到题干中的关键词或者同题干关键词相同或相近的单词或短语时，要特别留意。

　　5、注意区分“错误(wrong)”和“没有提到(not mentioned)”。

　　Moderate Earthquake Strikes England (《综合类教材第7篇;第59页》)

　　A moderate earthquake struck parts of southeast England on 28 April 2007, toppling chimneys from houses and rousing residents from their beds. Several thousand people were left without power in Kent County(第一题：是“肯特郡几千人断电，不是英格兰全境断电”). One woman suffered minor (第三题：伤势不重，not seriously injured)head and neck injuries.

　　“Its felt as if the whole house was being slid across like a fun-fair ride,” said the woman.

　　The British Geological Survey said the 4.3-magnitude quake struck at 8:19 a.m. and was centered under the English Channel, about 8.5 miles south of Dover and near the entrance to the Channel Tunnel(第二题：此处提到了“英吉利海峡海底隧道”，但是并没有说海底隧道因地震关闭10个小时).

　　Witnesses said cracks appeared in walls and chimneys collapsed across the county. Residents said the tremor(震动) had lasted for about 10 to 15 seconds.

　　“I was lying in bed and it felt as if someone had just got up from bed next to me,” said Hendrick van Eck, 27, of Canterbury about 60 miles south of London. “I then heard the sound of cracking, and it was getting heavier and heavier. It felt as if someone was at the end of my bed hopping up and down.”

However, people should not be scared too much by this prediction, Musson said, as the modern earthquake warning system of Britain should be able to detect a forthcoming quake and announce it several hours before it takes place. This would allow time for people to evacuate and reduce the damage to the minimum.
