考查应试者正确把握文章内容，以及在一定语境中准确使用词语的能力。本部分为1篇300-450词的短文，文中有15处空白，每处空白给出4个选项，要求应试者根据短文的内容从4个选项中选择1个最佳答案。
为保证复习效果，应以“抓住各题型出题特点，进行有针对性复习”为原则，考试会有30%-50%的题目出自于教材，尤其对于那些刚刚启动复习的考生来说，抓紧时间先把法和教材内容结合起来复习。对于教材复习，尤其要注意教材中新增内容，考试中教材上的'题目做一遍，争取全部掌握将至关重要。
应对策略：
(1)掌握教材上的文章内容，尤其是新增文章。把这些文章在考前一个月内，争取背到“滚瓜烂熟”，这样，就算考试时怎样变化都可以应付。
