People often say we have entered the electronic age. Computers have become the center of life. No one can live and work without computers. In the future, everyone can work and study at home before a PC. There wont be piles of files. Instead, a disc is OK enough.
With the appearance of printers, the pen becomes less useful than before. And since the computer was created, paper is also gradually giving way to the screen, which can show lively moving things from different sides in the same picture.
It is true that with the development of science, such products as computers and printers will be the major tools in our future life and work. But the traditional tools will also exist for a long time to supplement the function of the modern ones. At least, we still need pens to sign with and paper to sign on.

On the other, employment oppor tunities in the serviceindustries increased sharply, especially after 1986, whereas the engineering sectorexperienced a gradual but constant decline.
Trends in the above graph clearly indicate that the service industries will continue to employthe largest number of people at least for the next few years, while the engineering sector willneed somewhat fewer workers in the next decade. On the whole, the total number ofemployment offered in these three sectors was much smaller than ten years before and theredoesnt seem to be any likelihood for improvement in the near future. So, students who aregoing to graduate soon may need to prepare to seek employment elsewhere.

As a general rule, people like to help others, but there are occasions when you should say no to requests for favors. For instance, it is better to refuse when a child pesters you for sweet food and drinks or for too many toys. Another example is when a relative asks you to use yours influence to get him or her a bank loan or work promotion.
However, we cannot ignore the fact that many people are reluctant to say no. They feel that if they turn down a request from a relative or friend, they will cause ill-feeling within the family or become unpopular with their acquaintances. A notable case in point is when the boss asks them to do something which they feel is unreasonable.
It is important to keep in mind that not saying no when you should say no can sometimes have harmful consequences. If children are giver everything they ask for, not only may their health be damaged, but they may grow up selfish and spoilt. Again, in the long run it is kinder to re fuse to lend money to a person who has a gambling or alcoholism problem.

The relation between the virtual world and the real one has aroused public attention in recent years, and has become a stormy topic on in TV programs, newspapers, university classes and many aspects of our everyday life.
The topic’s status as the focus of public concern mainly results from the virtual world based on the Web is a double-edged sword for human beings in the real world. For one thing, it is undoubted that the virtual world does bring men unprecedented experience, such as on-line shopping, chat with friends and family members on the web, playing video games, e-commerce and so on; it seems that the virtual world can meet all requirements of humans. For another thing, as the wisest creature on the planet, we, humans should reflect on what will take place if they take more and more time to live in the virtual world rather than in the real world. For my part, if we do so, the time we spend with friends or family will become less. And we hardly see them once in a week. It will make us feel lonely if we continue to be indulged in the virtual world instead of enjoying the real life , such as talking with friends on the phone or going out with them.
To my best understanding, we should distinguish that the virtual world is totally different from the real one and the former cannot replace the latter either. Otherwise we will be reduced to the slaves in the virtual reality. If we want to enjoy our life and keep our friendship more effectively, we should spend more time with them in our real life. Only in this way can we not only make full use of the communication tool in the virtual word but also make our real life more meaningful and colorful.
