2023年托福考试作文语法分析汇总

1.托福独立写作语法错误汇总：非谓语动词使用不当
原：Comparing with the money people earns， the sense of achievement is more important.
改：Compared with the money people earns， the sense of achievement is more important.
评：此处是动词compare的现在分词和过去分词使用混淆了。在英语中，动词的现在分词往往表示的是主动的意思，过去分词则表示被动的含义。原句想表达的是“将成就感与钱相比”，“把…与…相比”是明显的被动含义，因此应该使用compared.
2. 托福独立写作语法错误汇总：时态混乱
原：Although I have no work experience when I was a teenager， I always dreamed about having a job.
改：Although I had no work experience when I was a teenager， I always dreamed about having a job.
评：虽然托福写作以议论文为主，为了表示客观性，基本上使用的都是现在时态，但是在举例的时候还是会涉及到一些过去时态，例如上面的句子，切记：主从句时态要保持一致。
3. 托福独立写作语法错误汇总：表述累赘
原：Internet plays an important and indispensible role in peoples life today.
改：Internet plays an indispensible role in peoples life today.
评：这个句子一看就知道是作者为了使用高级词汇而犯下的错误。明明已经有Important来表示重要性了，又强行加上了indispensible来表示不可缺少，这种说法只有在中国政府工作报告中才会出现的，老美是不喜欢的!
4. 托福独立写作语法错误汇总：用词不当
用词不当包括词性混淆，同义词错用以及固定搭配错误等。
词性混淆：
原句：A large number of people hold the believe that students social activities should be the first priority.
改：A large number of people hold the belief that students social activities should be the first priority.
评：这个例子中believe是动词，belief才是名词形式。虽然发音相近，但是用法却完全不同。
同义词错用：
原句：Its indeed that people are worrying about the increasing population.
改：Its true that people are worrying about the increasing population.
评：虽然二者都表示“真的”，indeed却没有its indeed that…的结构，此处只能用true来表示。
固定搭配错误：
原句：As a friend and mentor， she drew from humor， a beautiful spirit and her faith in the Aboriginal culture to accomplish her work.
改：As a friend and mentor， she drew on humor， a beautiful spirit and her faith in the Aboriginal culture to accomplish her work.
评：draw from： 从……中汲取(经验等)， draw on：借鉴(经验等)作者本想使用一个高级的表达法，结果用错了，很可惜。
拓展:托福考试的语法问题
1.in the United States voters election representatives to the national legislature , which consists of the House of Representatives and the Snate.
Election-〉elect(句子成分残缺)
观察主句，发现没有谓语，15个托福(TOEFL)考试语法问题总结。Representatives因为有s，所以不是形容词而是名词。于是就出现了三个名词voters election representatives无标点相连的情况。这种情况很罕见，我们因该对它很敏感。思考一下就知道中间的名词变为动词，即Election-〉elect
2.Her work in genetics won United States scientist Barbara McClintock ---- - in 1983.
(A) was the Nobel Prize
(B) the Nobel Prize was
(C) the Nobel Prize
(D) for the Nobel Prize
选c(双宾语)
大家要注意双宾语的考法。动词后面直接接两个名词。而且看题干,已经有一个谓语动词,除非要填的部分中有从句引导词,否则不可出现BE动词,排除A.B.而D又明显错误,因 为Nobel Prize为B.M的双宾语。
参考译文：美国科学家B.M.在基因方面的研究工作为她自己赢得了1983年的诺贝尔奖.

选c(连词)
分析：A.despite 为介词,后面要加名词形式的东东,e.g.Despite usually being thought to end in ...而这里的thought 是过去分词,不是动名词,所以不对。
B.to be 是目的状语，不能表达出转折关系
C.while可表转折关系的conj.
D.however 是转折连词，不能用于引导状语从句。
参考译文：洛基山脉通常被认为是延伸到新墨西哥州的北边,但它实际上一直向南延伸到了墨西哥的边界。
4.Complex spacecraft are characterized by a various of supporting systems,including communications,guidance and navigation,altitude control,and ,in some cases,life-support systems.
Various-〉variety(介词前为名词)
这种题属于简单体，在考试中分数不少，是一定要拿下来的。看到后面有介词，前面的词一定要是名词性质。在此单独列出，希望大家在考场上对这个考点能有很强的条件反射。

选c。分析句子成分后发现缺主谓。C显然是正确的。D的倒装很明显错
