  1.Opening (开场白)

  (1)Good morning, everyone.

  大家早上好!

  (2)Good afternoon,let’s start the meeting.

  下午好,现在开会!

  (3) If we’re all here, let's get started.

  如果我们都在这里,那我们开始吧!

  [语法充电站]

  (1)let’s (us) 动词原形

  (2)第三句:started不是过去式形式,而是过去分词。

  用法即是get sth done, 又如上一节课的have sth done,

  意思就是 “使......被做”。

  说完整了就是Let’s get (it) started. “使事情被开始”。

  但是口语中直接翻译成“我们开始吧”。

  2. Welcoming and Introducing(欢迎和介绍)

  (1)Please join me in welcoming Jane Smith.

  和我一起欢迎简·斯密斯。

  (2)We’re pleased to welcome Jane Smith from our trading desk in Tokyo.

  很高心欢迎来自我们东京交易处的简·斯密斯。

  (3)I’d like to extend a warm welcome to Jane Smith.

  我要向简·斯密斯表达热烈欢迎。

  (4)It's a pleasure to welcome our new vice president of human resources,

  Mrs. Jane Smith.

  很荣幸欢迎我们新的人力资源副总,简·斯密斯。

  (5)I'd like to introduce Jane Smith.

  我想要介绍简·斯密斯。

  (1)join sb in doing sth: 和某人一起做某事

  (2)It's a pleasure to do sth:很荣幸做某事

  (3)would like to do 愿意,想要做某事

  3. Stating the objectives of meeting (陈述会议目标)

  (1)We’re here today to evaluate financing options for our new plant.

  我们今天在这里是来评估我们的新工厂的融资方案。

  (2) Our main goal today is to make a decision on

  whether or not to build a new oil processing plant.

  我们今天的主要目标是决定

  是否建立一个新的石油加工厂。

  (1)Our new plant: 我们的新工厂

  (plant:在文中的`意思不是指植物,而是指工厂)

  (2)Whether or not: 是否,无论,是...还是...

  (3)Process:

  (动词)加工,处理

  (名词)过程;方法

  4. Giving a apologize for someone who is absent

  (替缺席会议的人道歉)

  (1)I’m afraid Jane can’t be with us today.

  She is in our Boston branch.

  我怕简今天不能和我们在一起了。

  她在我们的波士顿分支公司呢。

  (2)Unfortunately, Mike can’t be with us today,

  because he missed his flight.

  遗憾的是迈克今天不能和我们一起了,

  因为他错过了他的航班。

  (1)be with sb: 和某人在一起

  (2)fortune-fortunate-unfortunate-fortunately-unfortunately(名词-形容词-副词)

  (3)receive ...from...从...收到

  (4)apology-apologize

  5.Review the notes of last meeting :(回顾上次会议的要点)

  (1) To begin with,

  I’d like to quickly go through the minutes of our last meeting.

  首先,

  我想快速地浏览我们上次会议的记录。

  (2)First, let’s go over the report from the last meeting,

  which was held on January 5th.

  首先,让我们重温一下在上次

  1月5日召开的会议的报告。

  (3) Here are the minutes from our last meeting,

  which was held on July 6th.

  这是我们上次7月6号的会议记录。

  (这里不是指“分钟”的意思)

  6. Asking about/ Dealing with recent developments:

  (询问最近动态)

  (1)Jack, can you tell us how the new network project is progressing?

  杰克,你能告诉我们新网络项目的进展吗?

  (2)Jack, how is the integration project coming along?

  杰克,整合项目是怎么来的?

  (3)Jack, have you completed the report on the new transportation legislation?

  杰克,你完成了关于新交通法规的报告吗?

  (4)Has everyone received a copy of the financial statements?

  大家都收到了财务报表的副本吗?

  7.Moving forward :(继续1)

  (1)So, if there is nothing else we need to discuss,

  let’s move on to today’s agenda.

  (2)Shall we get down to the business?

  9.Allocating responsibilities

  (分配职责):

  (1)Mike has agreed to take the minutes.

  (2)Mike would you mind taking the minutes?

  (3)Mike has kindly agreed to give us a report on the leasing contrast.

  10.Agreeing on the ground rules for the meeting

  (会议达成一致的基本规则):

  (1)We will first hear a short report on each point.

  我们将首先听到每个点的简短报告。

  (2)I suggest we go round the table first.

  我建议我们先去圆桌。

  (3)Let’s make sure we finish by noon.

  让我们确保我们在中午完成。

  (4)I’d suggest we take a lunch break at noon.

  (5)There will be ten minutes for each presenter.

  (6)We’ll have to keep each topic to 5 minutes. Otherwise, we’ll never get through.
