　　I think that the characteristics of a good parent are firstly emotional availability. When your parent is emotionally available for you,which means that you trust them with your secrets, your doubts, your fears andyour dreams. I do that with my mother a lot. She is very important in my life. I tell her everything. I could ask her advice for anything. I trust her. Trust is something very important too. You need to be able to trust your parent, and for your parent to trust you. And lastly, when you got too far and they knowyou’ve done something bad, even though you can’t understand it at that time,that they are not afraid to punish you or have a firm hand with you. Not letting you completely roam free without knowing what you’re going to do.
