Should College Students Live Alone off Campus or Living with Roommates on Campus？
As adults， college students are responsible individuals capable of sensible and independent judgments and decisions。 Living on or off campus is really a matter of personal choice and different students can make their decisions that best accord with their individual needs。
Over the years， as many Chinese families become financially well—off， they can afford their sons and daughters better—equipped apartments off campus。 In the rented accommodation， a student enjoys greater personal freedoma more tranquil environment in which they can concentrate on their studies and greater privacy with which they can associate with their friends， including their boyfriends or girlfriends。 Those are all unalienable human rights guaranteed by the Constitution。 As long as those students behave within legal boundaries and their off—campus life does not affect their academic performance as students， there is no reason why college students should not live off campus。
However， living off campus does pose problems。 A student living alone may incur greater personal risks。 With less time to mix with classmates， he or she will be less competent as a team player。 Having to spend much time traveling to the campus， the student will have serious challenges to be punctual for classes。 Finally， without their independent income， most students will certainly increase financial burdens on their parents。 Therefore， any students with serious intentions to live off campus should really have serious thoughts about those issues before they actually make their choices。

The seats in our school reading-room are not enough for all the students. Many people get there very early to "seize" a seat every day. So do I. One day a "special" thing happened to me. And I learned a lesson that I shall never forget.
It happened on a Wednesday morning last January, just before our final examation. I got to the reading-room very early to occupy a seat. I put a book on the desk and then went to have breakfast. But when I hurried back into the reading-room, I found someone was sitting on the seat which I had occupied in advance. I ran to him immediatly and shouted at him angrily, "Go away. It's my seat." Everyone raised their eyes and stared at me unfriendly. My face turned red and I felt ashamed of myself. I took my book and fled helter-skelter before so many eyes.
I dared not go to the reading-room for several days. I learned a lesson in the reading-room. Since then I have been keeping the lesson in mind: To be polite to everyone.
Limiting the Buying of Cars or Not?
Limiting tbe Buying of Cars or Not?
Beijing has placed strict restriction on the number of newly purchased car in the city and the policy bas sparked heated discussion. Some people support the policy, saying it，s a powerful method to cope with the severe traffic congestion in the capital. With cars increasing drastically in the past few years, severe traffic jams occur not only in rush hours but at any time of the day now.
Others, however, aie strongly against the limitations. They argue that the great number of official cars，which are frequently used, is a big factor causing traffic congestion. But the policy mainly aims at private cars and has no dear restrictions on the use of official cars. Besides, car purchase limitation would hinder the development of China's automobile industry，and more people would lose their jobs as a result.
Personally, I think the restriction of buying and use of cars, official cars incladed, is inevitable and just a matter of time for Beijing. If the number of cars is not limited, there will be a huge disaster for the environment, road resources, the travel demands of normal people and the improvement of living standards..
According to the investigation of the income sources of students, the income of American and Chinese students comes from parents, part-time job and scholarship, However, the percentage of each income is quite different, Fifty percent of the American students income comes from their parents, fifteen percent comes from the scholarships granted by colleges and universities and the rest comes from part-time jobs. Ninety percent of Chinese students income comes from their parents.
In my opinion, the main reasons for the difference is that American students are taught to be independent when they are very young, while Chinese students are taken such good care of that it is very difficult for them to live on their own. Whats more, Chinese students have fewer opportunities to find part-time jobs.
Nowadays more and more Chinese students are seeking part-time jobs. For one thing, some students come from poor areast and their parents cant afford the high cost of education. For another, theyre eager to acquire some social skills and earn some money which will help them do more in school and live independently, AS far as American students are concerned, I think the sources of American students income will remain the same.
