From the table, we can see that in the past 10 years, the number of people in a given city who have gone traveling abroad has increased considerably. Especially in the recent 5 years, the figure has been more than tripled, surging from 40,000 to 120,000. There are several reasons for the change. Firstly, with the development of economy, more and more people become better off. And their ability to finance their trip abroad is growing. Secondly, tourism has greatly developed over the decade.
Travel agencies offer not only domestic packages but also travel specials abroad. In addition, individuals today are expected and encouraged to go outside to widen their horizon and to face the real world of globalization. In this way they hope to keep themselves informed of what is going on around the world. From the changes reflected in the table, we can predict that the number of individuals going out of the country will boost. This encouragingly and inevitably facilitates the cultural exchange between ours and the rest of the world and this trend will be irreversible.

Have been a travelling by train for about 3h, the journey was tiring. I arrived in our provinces capital city-Nanning,a green city in south China.
I met ,then she showed me around the downtown including Walmart,Xingning walking street,the bund,ect. There is a drinks machine in the street that offers passers by free drinkable water. They had the same thing in my city, but people used the water to wash their hands which ruined the machines. On the contrary, Ningningese tend to protect every piece of public property. When a little boy wanted to wash his hands, his mother stopped him immediately and told him," you should not use the water to wash your hands,the water is for drinking."
In the evening I walked to see the Guangxi Peoples Hall and Mendzhidao shopping mall. The next day,I cycled to Langdong new district where the Nanning international exhibition is located. The exhibition is built for CAEXPO. The bike broke during my way back,but a student from Guangxi University kindly gave me a lift. On the last day i got up early to go to Qingxiushan e I enjoyed the scenery and prayed to the buddhas for my future.

Knowing how to behave while travelling abroad is now becoming almost as important as remembering to pack your passport. I would like to suggest two reasons why this is so.
First, it is important to realize that we are not just lone travellers but representatives of our countries. A British tourist who offends Spanish local mores by acting in an impolite manner is also by proxy offending that country. And it is our nationality that will be remembered more than our personal identity. It is often said that "When in Rome, do as the Romans do." which means that tourists should adopt the local customs by behaving as local people do. Second, we should regard ourselves as guests of our host county. The Chinese are famous for being hospitable to "friends from afar" but how would we feel if our guests rewarded that hospitality with outright contempt for our societys civilized past and present by behaving in an uncouth manner. We would be rightly justified in evicting such "friends" from our homes.
In conclusion, adopting local customs of etiquette when travelling abroad helps to give foreigners a good impression of our country and reminds us that we are honoured guests who should respect our hosts.
