nowadays, college graduates are encouraged to find jobs in rural area to support itsconstruction, such as village officials, agriculture technicians, teachers, etc.

as estimated, the number of students who have got jobs in rural area is on the rise.

several factors lead to the phenomenon.

firstly, there is an urgent need of brains in the countryside.

actually, the root of poverty in those regions is the lack of knowledge.

therefore, talents importing is the first step to the success of the development.

secondly, with the expansion of college enrollment, the job market becomes more and morecompetitive.

graduates find themselves difficult to get a satisfactory job in the urban area, especially in bigcities.

thirdly, government’s call arouses many graduates’ patriotism and enthusiasm to join therural construction.

as for me, i am proud of those students who have devoted themselves to the ruralconstruction.

i firmly believe that with the great efforts of the government and the student workers, therural region will be well developed and become better off in the near future.

moonlite is a term referring to those people who exhaust their earnings every month withoutany savings.

with the acceleration of globalization, it seems that the availability of various commoditieshas put more and more people into the category of moonlite.

and these people are even proud of this unique life style.

the moonlite brag their behaviors as a fashionable way to live a life.

but we have to admit that problems exist in both their beliefs and behaviors.

firstly, industrious and economical concept has been chinese traditional moralexcellence.

and moonlite has violated the belief seriously.

secondly, no savings will place themselves in a difficult position in case of possibly unexpectedexpenses.

thirdly, this immoderate consumption habit may subconsciously infect their self-controlabilities, which can result in serious consequences.

in my view, though the moonlite may acquire temporary satisfaction from immoderateconsumption, in the long term, it will deteriorate their personal financial levels.

for majority of people, their income is limited and unnecessary expenses should be avoided.

we should always bear this sentence in mind: live within your means and save for a rainy day.

limiting tbe buying of cars or not?

beijing has placed strict restriction on the number of newly purchased car in the city and the policy bas sparked heated discussion. some people support the policy, saying it,s a powerful method to cope with the severe traffic congestion in the capital. with cars increasing drastically in the past few years, severe traffic jams occur not only in rush hours but at any time of the day now.

others, however, aie strongly against the limitations. they argue that the great number of official cars, which are frequently used, is a big factor causing traffic congestion. but the policy mainly aims at private cars and has no dear restrictions on the use of official cars. besides, car purchase limitation would hinder the development of chinas automobile industry, and more people would lose their jobs as a result.

personally, i think the restriction of buying and use of cars, official cars incladed, is inevitable and just a matter of time for beijing. if the number of cars is not limited, there will be a huge disaster for the environment, road resources, the travel demands of normal people and the improvement of living standards.

holiday economy is not new to people all around the world. in china, it stands for the nationwide one-week holiday starting from october 1st (the national day).the government established the week-long holiday back in 1999 to stimulate domestic spending.tour operators, retailers, and wedding halls have been cashing in ever since.

however, there are shifting perspectives about holiday economy. many people, including some economists, think positively about holiday economy.they believe that tourism-based holiday economy has increased consumption and helped to spur the domestic demands.while others, who worry about the negative effect of holiday economy, argue that holiday economy do more harm than good.for example, during the extended holiday, scenic spots are overloaded with tourists, and it not only spoils the relaxing mood of the tourists, but also overburdens the tourist attractions.

in my opinion, both sides are reasonable.we should take good advantages of the holiday to develop economy while trying to tackle the problems existed with practical measures.only in this way can we not only enjoy the pleasure golden week endows us,but also promote the development of holiday economy soundly.

  Immoral Behaviors in Public

We have all seen or experienced it before---those inappropriate and often unsanitary actions which disgust and annoy most cultured people in society. Spitting, littering, peeing in public---all these and others fall into this category. I personally had the embarrassing experience one late night of seeing a man peeing alongside the river. He was not embarrassed at all.

Such inappropriate public behavior has a terrible effect on society. For one thing, most unsanitary behavior can spread germs and diseases to the general public. For another, they contribute to the pollution of the environment and show little or no consideration for the environment.

We must take steps as a society to improve this situation. Our government should sponsor public announcements and advertisements to emphasize the cultural inappropriateness of this kind of behaviors. Our schools and teachers should teach and enforce acceptable standards for all students. And in the home, parents, grandparents, aunties and uncles should all work together to teach the children what is right by example.

There is no denying the fact that it has been a hotly debated topic whether students should attend military training in China in the past years. Opinions on this issue differ sharply. Some hold the positive view. They say that the training can not only build up students bodies but also temper their willpower. Besides, through the training, students can develop their team-spirit and sense of discipline.

Others, however, hold the opposite view. They say that a short period of training as students are having now cannot work well in building up their bodies or strengthen their will. Instead, we should lay emphasis on their daily exercise and activities for such purpose. Whats more, a sudden increase of intense physical exercise, especially during summer, does harm to students health and may even cause deaths. What happened in the past years has proved this.

In recent years, many college students are laying grearstress on CET exams. In order to get high marks in the exam3 many sbdents aretaking CET lime and time again although they have passed it. When “CET season” approaches, campuses are filled with students occupied with CET preparations.

However, some people disapprove the idea of taking CET repeatedly for high scores.

Although CET application fee is not high, taking the exams constantly can be a considerable financial burden. Moreover, it’s a waste of time to prepare for it every year, when you can do something more meaniigftil during the golden time in college. In addition, rather than focusing on CET, students should strive to develop other kinds of abilities.

As far as Tm concerned, it’s understandable to taking CET repeatedly for higher marks to be more competitive in the job market. If our future job requires a good mastery of English, we can step further to take high-level exams such as TOEFL or IELTS. But if it doesnt, we should not waste our lime and energy to take CET repeatedly.

There is no denying the fact that buying lottery tickets is ahotly debated topic in China today. There is no denying the fact thatbuying lottery tickets is becoming popular in China today. Some peoplebelieve that it is beneficial in many ways. In the first place, ithelps raise money for such groups as the poor and the disabled as wellas for such causes as sports. In the second place, lottery games provide people with a means of entertainment or pastime.

Others, however, hold the opposite view. They say that buyinglottery tickets is actually a kind of gambling. People are encouragedto earn money through guessing instead of down-to-earth labor. As aresult, some people are tempted to commit crimes. A case in point isthe two bank clerks in Heibei who stole millions of money from the bankto buy lottery tickets.

Weighing the arguments of both sides, I am inclined to agree withthe former. Lottery games can serve as a good means to raise funds. Butthe ticket buyers should keep in mind the original purpose of suchgames, that is, to help the underprivileged or to contribute to publicwelfare. If they happen to win the prizes, its nothing but a returnfor their kindness.

At present, some colleges and universities permit their students to select lecturers of some courses by themselves. After all, some teachers are very boring and some required subjects are probably not very practical.

Several fundamental factors are considered when students selecting their lecturers. First and foremost, a good instructor should be able to interest and motivate their classes. Students will learn more quickly and thoroughly from a teacher who makes the subject matter come alive for them. What is more, an outstanding tutor should spend time and energy organizing and preparing the lessons.

Good as selecting lecturers is, it also has its own disadvantages. On the one hand, if students can choose their own curriculum, they can generally do better in subjects that interest them. On the other hand, given the high pressure to make good grades, many students will misuse the opportunity and naturally choose the easier subjects rather than the harder ones. It is high time that we attached importance to this issue.

Are some people born clever, and others born stupid? Or is intelligence developed by our environment or experience? Strangely enough, the answer to both questions is yes.On the one hand, if we take two people at random from the crowd, it is very likely that their degrees of intelligence will be completely different. However, if we take two identical twins, chances are that they will be as intelligent as each other. Therefore, a conclusion can be drawn that intelligence is to some extent something we are born with.

The closer the blood relationship between two people, the closer they are likely to be in intelligence. On the other hand, though, if we put two identical twins in different environments, for example, we might send one to university and the other to a factory where the work is boring, we would find differences in their intelligence several years later, which indicates that environment does play a crucial role in our intelligence.Just as every coin has two sides, our intelligence is partly born and partly developed. The sure way to develop our intelligence is intelligent parents as well as a good environment.

In recent years, the volunteering spirit has spread widely among the public, especially among youngsters. From Olympic Games to urban communities, many people are seen to offer free help. Volunteering is of tremendous benefit to those in need. For example, hundreds of thousands of volunteers played an active role in the recent quake-hit Yushu area: they offered medical and psychological aid to the victims in the relief work. On the other hand, volunteering is beneficial to the volunteers themselves too.

Involved in volunteering activities, people are exposed to new circumstancesj and they can learn how to work well in a team and how to improve their interpersonal skills, all of which are critical for their career development. In my view, we should all join in volunteering work as long as we have spare time.

That doesn’t necessarily mean that we all volunteer in regions struck by natural disasters. There are many people eise who need our help, . the old or the sick in the near nursing home. Little by EittJe, we are sure to help make the world better.

As is known to all, the success of a person needs the right guidance and interest is undoubtedly the best teacher. Even Albert Einstein, the world-renowned physicist, said, “I have no special talents. I am only passionately curious.” So it is high time that people explore and cultivate their own interest.

Passionate curiosity can be developed in one’s childhood or in one’s sixties, but once it is ignited, it can change people’s way of study, work and living. On the one hand, interest makes one’s pursuit of knowledge successful and enjoyable. For instance, the pianist Langlang, who plays piano with great love, is awarded a lot of prizes at home and abroad. On the other hand, curiosity helps to resolve difficulties constantly. A worker with curiosity is more likely to dig into the essence of the problem and thus accomplish more creative tasks.

I would like to end up with the famous educator Herbert Spencer’s words which I can’t agree more, “If the interest and enthusiasm among us are cultivated smoothly in the first place, most people will become talents or geniuses.”

  6月六级英语作文备考 18

There is no doubt that many people want to be great and successful, but only a few can climb to the top and be admired by the world.

However, it doesn’t mean that most of us are losers. Actually everyone can achieve high by doing small things in a great way. We have to admit that there are something that we cannot accomplish right now, but it isn’t the excuse for us to stop trying. Being great needs time and patience, so only when all small accomplishments add up can many impossibilities gradually turn to possibilities. At least, one won’t regret for not making effort to achieve the goal.

For example, one may doesn’t have the resources or training on how to be a world-class musician, but by constant practice of every short piece of music, he can still bring happiness, comfort and inspiration to his family members and friends, then this person is great in the eyes of the audiences. Therefore, never cease the pace on the road to our dreams. As long as we stick to our goal and be serious to whatever related to it, we can be considered as great.

On Cultivating the Sense of Gratitude On college campuses across the nation, there is a noticeable phenomenon that we cannot afford to ignore: far too many young college students lack the sense of gratitude, one of the countless traditional virtues of this ancient land with a splendid civilization spanning over 5,000 years.

These young adults were not and are not aware of the huge importance of expressing gratitude to those who once helped them, from teachers to parents and so forth. Personally, I deem that the root cause of students without a graceful heart is that they receive an education not valuing the moral sphere. I strongly believe that joint efforts from folks across society are the final remedy for this social headache. As young university students of the new era, we should make our own contributions to this cause. Imagine a world without the sense of gratitude. This kind of world is doomed to failure. Simply put, we should join our hands to heighten our awareness of fostering a graceful heart. Only in this way can we build our society into a harmonious one. My fellow students, I beg you to act from now on.

  6月六级英语作文备考 20

Nowadays,it’s becoming a trend to pursue as many as possible certificates among colleges students in order to distinguish themselves in the fierce competitive job market.

However, the craze of obtaining various certificates caused many problems. For one thing, students prepare for those examinations either through years of arduous self-education or by spending large sums of money attending local training schools. For another, the publishing of examinations-related study materials and the training programs offered, both online and offline, have combined to form a sizable industry.

In my opinion, its good for college students to have some certificates if they are sure what they would do in the future. In the meanwhile, we should focus on improving students’ ability but not on how many certificates they get. It’s the knowledge and ability they learned that contribute to work not just merely a certificate.
