half与冠词之间的位置关系
1. 在通常情况下，不定冠词位于half之后，如说 half an hour，half an apple 等，不过在美国英语中也可将不定冠词置于half 之前，如说 a half hour, a half apple 等。值得注意的是，在以下情况，必须说 a half，不能说 half a：
① 当构成复合词时：a half-hour test 半小时的测试
② 当half 不表示“一半”时：a half brother 同父异母或同母异父的兄弟
③ 当表示“几个半”时：two and a half weeks / two weeks and a half 两周半
2. 当我们谈论某一特定的一半，可以将定冠词置于half之前（此时的定冠词表特指）。如：
Would you like the big half or the small half? 你愿意要一大半，还是要一小半?
在这种情况下，若其后修饰有名词，名词前必须用介词of。如：
I didn’t like the second half of the film. 我不喜欢电影的后半部分。
