我的妈妈虽然表面上看不出她有什么特长，但她可有一肚子墨水哩，妈妈最擅长英语了，她能讲一口流利的英语，我打心眼里佩服妈妈。
妈妈是在酒店工作的，经常会和一些外国人打交道。有一次，我到妈妈酒店参观，正当我参观的时候，妈妈在和一些外国人交谈，妈妈说得非常流利、发音准确，交谈时，我听他们说得象外星语，特别快，我听得头晕脑胀，可妈妈好象一位真正的老外，他们不停地交谈。忽然，他们交谈停止了，老外向妈妈满意地点了点头，向妈妈说了声“Thank you very much..”然后满意地走了。后来一问妈妈，原来刚才的三位老外在向妈妈询问他们的'房间在几楼以及酒店的主要设施、结构，哇！如此难的问题，妈妈竟然对答如流，佩服，真是佩服。
妈妈的英语是靠练出来的，我听爷爷讲，妈妈小时候天一亮就起来读书了，捧着英语书大声朗读，放学回来后，妈妈更是勤奋，不断做英语练习，高声朗读课文，并认认真真做好笔记。翻开她的书一看，上面全部清清楚楚的记满了，让人赏心悦目。

去年的一个星期五，是学校的英语艺术节。那天没上课，可是学校里热闹极了：上午要举行游园活动，下午还有文艺演出呢!
那天上午，八点二十五分，游园活动开始了。林老师把入场券分给我们，我一看，内容真丰富啊：有猜灯谜、做饺子、飞镖夺宝、纸船运蛋、搜宝大行动、摇骰子说单词
首先，林老师带我们去一⑶班：飞镖夺宝。我拿起飞镖，心怦怦直跳，结果我打中了六环。
接着，我们去二⑷班：做饺子。我先把橡皮泥揉扁，再把馅儿搓圆，一眨眼，一个饺子包好啦。我觉得它像一只弯弯的'小白船。
然后，我们去体育馆二楼：猜灯谜。我快步上楼，看一看有没有我出的灯谜，结果让我失望了。但是，我还是很快地猜到了一个灯谜。
最后，我们在自己的教室举行圣诞大餐，老师分给我们很多很多东西，有鸡腿、饺子、粽子、月饼、牛奶这真是一顿美味、丰富又营养的大餐!
下午演出的节目很多，而且很精彩。我们在操场上看了两个小时，也不觉得累。
我觉得那天的英语艺术节真有意思!
