　　我的爸爸是70年代的人，以前没有学过多少英语，即使能多少读几句，但读出来的音也非常古怪。针对这种现状，上周星期六我便给爸爸当了一回英语小老师。

　　我先在本子上写了四个字母让他读，他一开始，看见这些字母，非常高兴。他说：“这就是你们所学的英语吗?不就是我们在幼儿园时学的拼音吗?”我大笑起来：“爸爸，你可真没见识，这不是拼音，只是跟拼音的写法一样，读法却完全不一样。”我知道爸爸这是在开玩笑，或是考验我，他不是还能读几句别扭的`英语吗?我认真地教爸爸读了这四个字母，接着又教他读“你好”、“再见”等英文单词，开始爸爸和我们在学习一样，觉得很无聊，不想学了。我严厉地对他说：“这学英语可不是一朝一夕就能学会的，要有一定的毅力去长期学习。”听了我的话，爸爸认真多了，我们又开始学习了许多新的单词。

　　本周星期五回家，我和爸爸重温了一下那天学习的单词。通过检验，爸爸也居然能读能写我教他的二十多个常用英语单词了。我高兴极了，体会到了当老师的无比快乐。

An individual or nation showing no respect to the essence of traditional culture cannot be expected to develop and be stronger.
