　　二月十二，大年初六，年的感觉都还没过完，就开学了，虽然大家都得了开学症候群——懒洋洋的，然而我们这一班，却全班喜气万分，原来，开学第一天，我们就被安排参观国际英语村，要过一整天的美式生活，这里建立全美式英语环境的教室，有八个不同的主题情境，里面安排了外籍的教师，有交通转运站、Shoppingcenter、Restaurant、Livingroom、Toycenter…

　　一切的对话，都是全情境式的，而所有的布景、道具、装饰，都是美式的，在购物中心里，孩子可以使用代币，购买他想要的玩具、衣服、布偶，最后到柜台结帐，而在玩具中心，孩子甚至在美语老师的教导下，一个步骤接一个步骤完成美劳作品，孩子虽然一开始不能适应，但也能充份体会和外国人对话的感觉，而在老师再三解释下，孩子也慢慢开始理解，老师所想表达的意思，气氛就在一开始非常紧张，到开始熟悉，最后渐入佳境，每一站几乎都能吸引小朋友的注意，难得的是，孩子们虽然有英文表达能力上的'差异，却都十分喜欢这样的学习方式，看来，旧式的教学环境，实在无法满足现阶段孩子的学习需求，不过这惊奇又有趣一天，对渴望学习的孩子来说，还是太短了，还没回到学校，班上的同学就已开始期待，下次何时能够再次造访，这位于都市中心的国际英语村。
