　　At present there are more than one hundred million people suffering from starvation , As a member of this big family in China ,do we have the reason to waste ? No !So what should we do to reduce the unnecessary waste of food in the dining table ? Recently, more and more people begin to realize the importance of saving , apopular action called “Clear your plate”encourages the public to eat up the food intheir plates . I strongly agree with this campaign . Besides , many rest aurants startto provide the guests with half-portioned dishes、smaller dishes and assorted dishesin order to reduce the waste , and inspire the customers to take left overs home . I think these good phenomena indicate that we will get great progress in food saving .

　　As we all know that the love of economy is the root of all virtue, our Chinese culture in the past did also indicate the importance of thrift. However, with the huge change happening in China, Chinese dining behavior was proved more waste in food and money, which really concerns the public. Since the advocate action from weibo in "clear your plate" campaign, more and more people start to be aware of the waste in ordering the dishes at restaurants, which tries to avoid excessive capacity of food left. I do really prefer to see this positive sign in our dining culture development. Many a little make a fickle. Especially many restaurants put advertisement on the wall and we all in this action. Thrift is not only a great virtue, but also a great revenue.

　　How to build an economized society Our government is aiming to build an “economized society”。 I think it is every citizen’s duty to work hard to achieve this goal. Firstly, we know that many restaurants have joined the “clear your plate” campaign against wasting food. We students should do the same in our daily life especially when having dinner with our friends and relatives. It is a good virtue for us to do so. Secondly, make sure that the lights and all the other electric facilities are turned off when we finish our work and leave the room. Also it is important to form the habit of turning off the tap after it is used. Saving energy isalso saving ourselves. In a word,if we pay much attention to our everyday behavior and take actions to reduce waste, we can make contributions to an economized society.Let’s work together from now on!

　　As is shown in the picture, two men had a big dinner in a restaurant, but much of the food was left and some was even untouched at all. When the waitress asked them to pack the remaining food, they felt very surprised, thinking that it was unbelievable for them to do things like that with too much money in their pocket.

　　It is a pity that many people act like the two men in the picture. In my view, we should pack the leftovers when we have meals outside. As we all know, saving is a fine tradition for our Chinese people and therefore we shouldn’t waste a bit food. Also, there is not enough food in the world and there are many people starving. In addition, we students should form the habit of saving food and give away some to the people in need. Finally, we have the responsibility to help people around us realize the importance of saving.

　　Only in this way can we build up an economized society and live a happy and healthy life.

　　Recently, "Clear Your Plate" campaign is more and more popular in society, which advocates saving against wasting. The campaign draws our attention to wasting on campus. Some students are noticed to throw away a lot of food in the canteen. As is often the case, some lights are still on with nobody in classrooms. What's more, many a student spends much money buying unnecessary items.

　　As far as I am concerned, it's high time that we fought against wasting. Here're my suggestions. Firstly, I think our school should carry out various activities to arouse students' awareness of saving. Secondly, relevant rules and regulations are supposed to be made to punish those who waste things. Most importantly, we should form the habit of saving from now. It is everybody's duty to save resources.

　　The campaign, Clean Your Plate Campaign, is initiated by nongovernmental organizations and activists, which urges people to save food by not wasting anything on the dining table. The campaign, launched on weibo, is soon joined by millions of netizens across China in a bid to curb food wastage and appreciate the virtue of being thrifty even in times of plenty.

　　Every Chinese student is taught this Tang Dynasty poem: Farmers weeding at noon, sweat down the field soon. Who knows food on a tray, thanks to their toiling day. In the Chinese original, the word "food" receives emphasis, literally meaning: "every grain on the plate is an embodiment of hard work". Chinese parents would use this to teach their children not to waste food because it is the product of farmers' exhausting labor under the scorching sun or in rainstorms. Yet, when we dine out, we'll be astounded by the amount of food squandered. The estimated annual wastage of grain in China is estimated to be 50 million tons, enough to feed about 200 million people for one year.

　　The campaign to finish up one's plate, or "guangpan" in catchy slang, is meant to drill some common sense into a vanity-conscious society that food is meant for your mouth and too much of it will not make you an important person. People from across the social divide should support the Clean Your Plate Campaign.
