今天是宋丹丹51岁的生日，正好在昨天也就是宋丹丹50岁的最后一天，她的微博粉丝突破了300万。为此宋丹丹在她生日之际感谢粉丝对她的支持，“开博8个月粉军于50岁最后一天破300万…陪我笑伴我哭与我互动替我出气，让我腰杆直气质硬横着走路娘家有人儿…今儿生日，老太太深鞠一躬道声：‘谢谢!’大江南北天涯咫尺有你们相伴觉着真好。”

该剧另外一大看点便是宋丹丹和儿子巴图的首度合作。在活动现场，巴图提前送上了一束鲜花，祝福妈妈母亲节快乐。对于儿子的一片孝心，宋丹丹也是十分感动。当被问到是否会支持儿子进入娱乐圈时，宋丹丹说：“我肯定支持，因为我觉得他很适合这个行当，我不会像成龙大哥那样，不管孩子，我会尽可能把自己所会的全教给他。”对于儿子进入娱乐圈，宋丹丹不但举双手赞同，而且还提出了一些小建议，“我就觉得他演的不错，可是形象不太好，太胖了，有点随英达，这点要改改，随我最好，”宋丹丹说。

习惯了在小品中扮“老太太”的宋丹丹此次在剧中也饰演了一次满头银发的退休老人，这位名唤“紫霞”的老人角色确实有股子“仙子”的味道，她不仅是老牛晚年的红颜知己，更为老牛出谋划策，为老牛在这嘲战争”中取得胜利起了不小的作用。而宋丹丹的儿子巴图在剧中“降了一辈儿”成了“紫霞”的孙子，两人虽然在剧中仅有为数不多的几场对手戏，但却成为战争中少有的温情段落。
