这三个动词都有“完成”、“结束”之义。
Finish是个普通用语，指“完成”或“结束”日常的一引起事物。其后只接名词或动名词，而不接不定式或宾语从句。例如：
We finished our homework.我把那本书读完了。
Our work can’t be finished on time.我们的工作不能接时完成。
I finished reading the book.我把那本书读完了。
He finished speaking。他说完了。
Complete表示“完成”，是个比较正式的词，一般指计划、理想、工作等完成。例如：
The building is not completed yet.这个建筑物尚未完成。
This highway will be completed in a year.这条高速公路将在一年内完成。
End作动词讲，只表示“结束”。例如：
They ended the argument.他们结束了争论。
The war ended in 1945.战争在1945年结束。
The attempt ended in failure.这尝试终于失败了。
