  英语四级口语考试答题技巧

  介绍应对CET口语考试的四大妙招,以期帮助各位考生顺利过关。

  一、知己知彼,百战不殆

  首先要明确口语考试的考查目的及试卷结构,做到心中有数。大学英语四、六级考试口语考试(CET Spoken English Test,简称CET-SET)主要考查大学生运用英语进行口头交际的能力。CET-SET报考对象为获得全国大学英语四、六级证书且成绩达到一定分数线的在校大学生。教育部规定,四级笔试550分、六级520分以上的考生可以报名参加口试。四、六级口语考试为一年两次,分别在5月和11月。考试地点在考生报名的考点,具体考场在考生报名后随机编组确定。

  CET-SET考试采用面对面的形式,每场考试由2名主考和3(或4)名考生组成。

  CET-SET考试分三部分:

  第一部分是考生和CET授权的主考进行交谈,采用问答的形式。时间约5分钟。包括考生自我介绍、回答问题等。

  第二部分包括1.5分钟的考生个人发言和4.5分钟的小组讨论。时间共约10分钟。

  第三部分由主考再次提问以进一步确定考生的口头交际能力,由主考老师进一步提问。时间约5分钟。

  二、充分练习,胸有成竹

  口语测试是以“说”为考查重点的,因此,考前的练习,主要靠多说,多交流。大家可以通过如下几个途径练习:

  1. 寻找同伴。找一个同样要参加考试,或者热衷英语口语的同学,要是舍友就更好了,两个人利用一切在一起的时间进行口语练习。

  2. 英语角。英语角是个练习口语的理想之地,在那里我们不但可以练习口语,还可以交流英语学习经验,开拓视野,提高英语学习兴趣。

  以上两个途径的口语练习都是要与人交流的,也是见效最快的,但在练习的过程中要注意如下几点:

  (1)不要害羞,要敢于开口。很多人在说英语时,尤其是和自己的同学讲英语时会有羞怯心理,怕自己说的不好被对方笑话。其实这大可不必,试想,大家都是在高考的应试教育中一路走过来的,谁比谁又能强多少、或者差多少呢?

  (2)不要怕犯错误。很多同学在讲英语时,开口之前往往先在心里把一个句子组织好,尤其特别注意保证语法的正确性,这样就明显降低了交流速度,从而影响交流效果。其实,语法我们自然要注重,但在口语练习初期,还是首先要强调流利的。而且,口语就是为了交流,只要你把意思能表达清楚,能让别人了解你的意思,达到交流的目的,又何必拘泥于一两处语法的不规范呢?现在很多的英语、美语惯用口语表达要细究语法的话,其实都不符合语法规则,而且,聆听英语母语国家的人的说话,他们的语法也并不是百分百正确的。所以,要时刻铭记口语是以交流为目的,这也是口语考试的初衷。当然,低级的语法错误还是不要出现的,比如“she”、“he”不分,主谓单复数形式不一致等,如果出现这种基础性的错误,分数肯定是要大打折扣的。

  (3)不要怕不会说或说不出来。如果用英语在日常生活中交流,很可能会感到,原来用汉语简短一句话就可以说清楚的问题,用英语好几句话也说不清楚,甚至压根就不知该怎么说;还有一些我们常见物品的词汇,用汉语指称起来没有任何问题,而英语就不知该怎么称呼。就拿我们经常吃的蔬菜来说,你知道“萝卜”用英语怎么说吗,“芹菜”呢?“韭菜”呢?交流中遇到这种不会说的情况不要泄气,千万不要看看这不会那不会就干脆不说了。建议大家遇到单词不会的情况可以先把这个单词跳过,记下来事后回去查一下;遇到不会表达的情况也可以先记下来,回去书中或网上查一下。其实,日常的表达就有限的一些场景与句式,慢慢的积累多了,你会发现,你不会的越来越少,表达越来越顺畅了。

  如果找不到学伴或参加英语角的机会很少,那也没有关系,有很多种方法可以自己练习口语,比如自己对自己讲英语,自己开口描述所看到的景物、口述自己正在做的事情。这里要强调的是,一定要“说”出来,而不是在心里默想。“说出来”与“默想”是两个不同的层次,很多人在心里想的很好,但一张嘴就又出错了。

  这里介绍一种非常有效且很容易坚持的自己练习口语的方法——口译英汉对照的小说或其他读物。

  首先读汉语部分,然后逐句直接口译成英文,完成一小段后,去看书上的对应英文部分并与我们的口译进行比较,这样马上就可以发现口译的错误和缺点,在改进中获得进步。可以从比较简单的读物开始,而且要大量练习。刚开始时可能速读较慢,费时较多,但慢慢的,你会觉得你的反应速度和口语流利度越来越高了。

  三、考前准备,不容忽视

  1. 考前要做好主题准备工作,包括了解一些常用、热点话题,积累一些话题词汇,准备能套用的几十个常用句型备用。

  2. 准备一个自我介绍。自我介绍尽量准备的有特色一点,生动一些,给考官以眼前一亮的感觉。自我介绍不要过分繁杂、冗长,不要为了使用某些也许会增光添彩的语句而使本该简短的文字变得复杂、不自然。自我介绍要实事求是,不要撒谎,不要特意把自己塑造成一个优秀大学生的样子。一切实话实说即好,展现最自然的自己。

  四、随机应变,笑傲考场

  1.考前热身,了解搭档。考试之前,考官会对所有考生进行随机分组,通常三个人一组,并给一定时间让考生间先进行一下交流,这就是所谓的热身。千万不要小瞧这个热身,大家要抓紧时间交流,因为每个人的口语都有自己的特色,很少有考生的发音是完全标准的,因此要在这有限的时间内尽可能的熟悉伙伴的发音特点,基本了解他们的性格,对他们针对话题可能作出的反应最好心中有点数,这样等到正式考试时,大家才能有好的配合。

  2. 专心致志。整个考试过程都应保持注意力高度集中,最好能做到悉心倾听每一个同伴的发言,以有备无患,免得突然叫到你而搞得手足无措。再就是眼神要坚定、真切、自然,不要四处游离;不要过于幽默,以免显得做作、不自然,甚至变成滑稽。

  3. 不慌不忙。在你考试陈述的过程中,考官随时有可能打断你,问你问题,这时一定不要紧张,听清老师的提问,从容回答。其实,对于CET-SET这一层级的考试,考官不会故意刁难学生的。因此,何不把眼前的老师们当成你在英语角聊天时遇到的朋友,轻松应对,自然的回答他们的问题呢!
