Market-oriented rural structural reforms that stress quality and high-yield products have become a stimulus for China’s agricultural development.

Pollution free vegetable cultivation is also developing rapidly.

Cultivation and production have also become more specialized and regionalized. The country’s northeast is concentrating on soybean and corn production, the north on peanuts and wheat, the areas around Yangtze river on rape and Northwestern Xinjiang region on cotton.
