Visiting Chinese Premier Zhu Rongji says China and Denmark should properly deal with their differences according to the principles of mutual respect and seeking common ground while reserving differences and seeing bilateral ties from a broader perspective.

In talks with his Danish counterpart, Poul Nyrup Rasmussen, Zhu Rongji says China proposes the two countries continue to enhance exchange and cooperation at all levels to expand the scope of economic cooperation and trade. China welcomes Denmark to take part in the development of China’s western regions and further cooperate in the fields of culture, education and social security.

Rasmussen says relations between the two countries are now better than ever. Danish entrepreneurs are showing great interest in investing in China, and about ten enterprises have set businesses in the country. He hopes the two countries can cooperate in environmental protection, ocean shipping and tourism.

Premier Zhu Rongji, who attended the Fourth Asia-Europe Meeting summit and the Fifth China-EU Summit, is in Denmark on the second leg of his three-nation European tour, and will go to France next.

Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak has voiced his concerns about wider global consequences if Israel continues to besiege the Palestinians and their leader Yasser Arafat.

He made the remark during brief talks with Saudi Crown Prince Abdullah Abdul-Aziz about the worsening situation in Palestine and a possible US war against Iraq.

President Mubarak also stressed the importance of taking a unified Arab stance to deal with all challenges, including the Iraqi issue. He said such matters should be resolved peacefully within the framework of the United Nations.

Mubarak's visit to Saudi Arabia coincided with Israel's defiance of Tuesday's UN Security Council resolution, which urged the lifting of Israel's siege on Arafat's Ramallah headquarters and an Israeli withdrawal from Palestinian lands.

Russian Foreign Minister Igor Ivanov is urging Iraq to allow the return of international weapons inspectors to Baghdad as soon as possible. He says it is main way to solve tensions with Iraq.

Ivanov made the remarks after the British government released a lengthy dossier on Iraq on Tuesday. The dossier says that Iraq can launch a chemical or biological missile with 45 minutes notice, and could produce nuclear weapons within two years with essential components from abroad. Iraq has dismissed the dossier as 'lies and allegations.'

The minister also denied reports that the UN was discussing a new resolution on Iraq and said such discussion was pointless.

He said the possibility of resolving the Iraqi problem by political means had not been exhausted and a military solution could only further aggravate the situation.

But meanwhile, Kuwaiti Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmed Al-Jaber has reiterated that Iraq must comply with all UN Security Council resolutions.

US and British warplanes have bombed installations in southern Iraq's Thi Qar and Misan provinces, wounding one civilian. Thi Qar and Misan provinces are in Iraq's southern no-fly zone.

US and British military planes have been patrolling Iraq's no-fly zones since the 1991 Gulf War. Both claim to protect Iraq's Kurdish population in the north and Shiite Muslims in the south from Iraqi persecution.

Iraq says that more than 1,400 Iraqis have been killed and an identical number injured by US and British bombing since the end of the Gulf War.

Last year, China Unicom started the second phase. When completed, it will give the CDMA network nationwide coverage and the capacity for 50 million subscribers, making it the largest CDMA network in the world.
