They take part in kinds of activities to strengthen listening,speaking,reading and writing skills,such as, free talk,short play,English songs,duty report,etc.I occasionally alter my own teaching style to match the learning style of the students.I give my students English names. This encourages an3English language environment .It gives a closer relationship with the language. Preparation is vital.I think carefully about what I am going to do in my classes and how I am going to organize the teaching and learning .I think a textbook is an aid and not a bible to be rigidly followed day in and day out .I always prepare a lesson plan that contains teaching strategies that focus students on the goal of the lesson .In the classroom management,I try to engage students in the learning proceand provide opportunities for feedback and to use group and individual activities that will bring my studentsinitiative into full play.I manage to my classes fun ,try to create a happy and warm English learning atmosphere .I always found English learning groups from the beginning,thus students can work together and help each other.Because of their cooperation ,some problems can be solved by themselves.It also can foster a spirit of cooperation and friendship in the cla.While the students are working in pairs or groups ,I always spend this time going around the cla,join in sometimes ,and offer encouragement,advice or suggestions .Make note on any important mistakes I hear while Im theyre trying to exprethemselves.I encourage 4them ,not discourage them .About listening ,I ask my students to listen to the tapes often ,follow and imitate normal ,natuaral ,good speaking English .Parents can be great motivators of English learning towards their children .So I use parents to aid my teaching .I encourage the students to take

With the rapid development of science and technology, tele-education has sped up in our country. While many people speak highly of its advantages, others see more disadvantages deriving from it.
The advocates of tele-education give their arguments as follows. For one thing, tele-education makes it possible for people in remote areas to learn the subjects they are interested in. For another, people have a wider range of choices as to teachers and lessons through tele-education, because they can listen to the best lessons by the best teachers in the
country, or even in the world.
Just as “Every advantage has its disadvantages”, the opponents believe that not all the people have acceto tele-education because many are poor. In addition, the students cannot contact teachers, but
interpersonal relations are important to their study.
As far as I am concerned, we should develop tele-education more rapidly to benefit more students. Meanwhile, we can design some programs to help teachers and students to contact each other.

My favorite English filmAs I have seen lots of English films so far, I am a movie fan. If you ask me what my favorite English film is, I will say it is Titanic without hesitation. I like it just because it is my first time that I had a chance to see an English film .besides, it is fascinating.In the movie, there was a big ship-Titanic, which was built In April 10th 1912. It was called the worlds industrial miracle in the history. While crossing the Atlantic Ocean, she hit an iceberg on the way and sank completely. It was a tragedy. Thousands of travelers were swallowed by the sea. Among them, there are two travelers. One is Rose, the other one is Jack.Rose lived in the upper social circle, already tired of the nobles of hypocrisy, which made her depressing and losing the hope of life. Then she attempted to jump into the sea to end her life. Jack appeared in time and convinced her with his sincerity and unique sense of humor. After that they fall in love. Preparation is vital.I think carefully about what I am going to do in my classes and how I am going to organize the teaching and learning .I think a textbook is an aid and not a bible to be rigidly followed day in and day out .I always prepare a lesson plan that contains teaching strategies that focus students on the goal of the lesson .
In the classroom management,I try to engage students in the learning proceand provide opportunities for feedback and to use group and individual activities that will bring my students’initiative into full play.I manage to my classes fun ,try to create a happy and warm English learning atmosphere .I always found English learning groups from the beginning,thus students can work together and help each other.Because of their cooperation ,some problems can be solved by themselves.It also can foster a spirit of cooperation and friendship in the cla.While the students are working in pairs or groups ,I always spend this time going around the cla,join in sometimes ,and offer encouragement,advice or suggestions .Make note on any important mistakes I hear while I’m they’re trying to exprethemselves.I encourage
them ,not discourage them .About listening ,I ask my students to listen to the tapes often ,follow and imitate normal ,natuaral ,good speaking English .
Parents can be great motivators of English learning towards their children .So I use parents to aid my teaching .I encourage the students to take their newly—learned English home .Tell my students to repeat what they have learned today in clato their parents when they arrive home .They can sing a newly—learned song . I encourage my students to learn English outside the classroom ,and I require the students to become actively engaged in constructing their own knowledge .
I have come to realize to be a good teacher is not easy.But I believe if I keep on trying ,I will be .

As a former teacher, I have a personal interest in discovering how teachers who have decided to enter the field of library science can use their teaching backgrounds in their new careers.
The main goals of this unit are:
1. To examine the duties and responsbilities of a language arts teacher.

3. To help former language arts teachers use their backgrounds to aid them in a career in library science by exploring:

本学期，我任教一年级三个特色班以及六年级（6）班的英语教学工作。在教学过程中，我一直遵从以下几个理念，进行教学。
一、注重教学过程管理，强调先进教学方法和理念的实施。
如何充分发挥小学英语在实现教育目标中的功能，从而体现小学英语在整个课程中的地位和作用，是小学英语教学必须重视的问题。英语学习的启蒙阶段是非常重要的，教学的成功与否将对学生的终身学习产生深远影响。小学开设英语课程的目的在于培养学生学习英语的积极情感，形成初步的英语语感，打好语音、语调的基础，具备用所学英语进行交流的初级能力。通过英语课程的学习，丰富社会生活经历、开拓视野、树立学习的自信心。为此在实际教学中我们要求广大教师积极实践和探索，在教学目标、课程实施、教学方法、教学评价等方面做到层层推进。在实践过程中应该明确以下几点：
1．在教学总体目标上，重兴趣、重成就感、重自信心的培养。教师通过多种激励的方式，如奖品激励、任务激励、荣誉激励、信任激励和情感激励等，激发学生积极参与、大胆实践、体验成功的喜悦。有了成就感，就有了自信心，学生就会渴望学习英语；在课程实施上，重环境、重频率、重效率。教学中特别强调语言环境的创设，充分利用和开发电视、录音、录像、光碟等多种媒体，丰富教学内容、活跃教学气氛、创设生动和真实的语言环境。尽量在课堂上创造真实的情境，克服课时少的困难，并且按排早读课及时复习，保证学生高频率的接触英语，为学生创造有效的学习条件，提高学习效率；在语言教学目标上，重语感、重语音语调基储重交流能力。学校和教师积极创造条件，提供良好的语言环境和设备，通过提供大量的感知、体验、模仿等实践活动，帮助学生形成初步的语感。语音语调的学习包括发音、重音、语调、节奏和语流等多方面，教学中要求教师防止以单音准确为目的的教学，通过多听、多模仿，在有意义的语境中进行训练，奠定语音语调的基矗强调要培养学生交流能力就要创设交流的情景，使学生通过交流发展交流的能力。
2．在教学模式和方法上，重体验、重实践、重参与、重创造。要求教学设计贴近生活，符合小学生兴趣的需求；教学内容能引起学生的兴趣，例如韵律诗歌、寓言故事、会话表演、游戏等；教学的语言材料要真实、实用。学生在课上通过用中学、学中用，反复实践，学用结合。功能、结构、话题、任务做到有机结合；以话题为核心，以功能和结构为主线，以任务型活动为目标安排各单元或各课的教学；通过视、听、说、玩、唱、画、游、读、写、译等饶有趣味的活动，让
学生接触足够量的语言材料，保证输入量，“习得”与“学得”结合，使学生逐步培养起初步的语感；通过大量语言材料的输入，特别是声像材料的示范，学生模仿，教师指导，使学生逐步形成良好的语音、语调、书写、拼读的习惯。设计任务型活动，开放空间，激活学生的思维，培养创造思维。自始至终引导学生通过完成具体任务活动来学习语言，让学生为了特定的学习目的去进行特定的语言活动，通过完成特定的交际任务来获得和积累相应的学习经验。教学方法要多样，且生动活泼，激发学生的学习兴趣。充分利用教科书中的课文创设栩栩如生的情景，为学生提供使用英语进行交流的机会。实践中，我们发现每当孩子们进入角色，成功地做成一件事，他们便情不自禁，喜形于色，因此兴趣倍增、信心加强，动机和情意受到了很大的激励。同时要求布置的练习形式要多种多样，做到手、脑、口、耳、眼、肢、体并用，静态、动态相结合，基本操练与自由练习相结合，单项和综合练习相结合。通过大量的实践，使学生具有良好的语音、语调、书写和拼读的基础，并能用英语表情达意，开展简单的交流活动。
二、创设良好的语言学习环境，扩展英语教学的时空。
⒈灵活安排教学组织和课堂，以学生为主体，充分调动学生的积极性，开展两人小组、多人小组、成行、成排、半班等多种形式的活动。这是小学英语教学的重要特点之一。只有开展这些活动才能使每一个学生充分地参与课堂实践，才能体现出语言的交际性，才能实现师生之间和学生之间的互动性。课堂上课桌椅的摆放形式根据教学的需要采用不同的方式——秧田式、半圆式、全圆式、双圆式等，目的是为了更好地开展各种教学活动。这样做可以促进师生之间的情感交流，而且可以帮助学生培养起互相关心，合作的团队精神。
⒉采用多种媒体的现代化教学手段，创设良好的语言环境和充分的语言实践机会，优化教学过程。利用英语教学音像资源——图画、图表、投影、录音、录像、cd、vcd、dvd等多媒体软件，不仅能为学生提供规范的语音、语调，还可以提供真实自然的语言使用的示范，即语言使用的场合、时间、对象等，而且还有体态语——手势、动作、表情等的示范。多种媒体的运用使教学变得生动、形象、活泼，感染力强，容易激发学生兴趣，引起有意注意，加深印象，帮助学生持久记忆。充分利用现代化教学手段，可以超越时间和空间的限制，使学生置身于以英语为母语的环境中，体验英语的实际运用。多媒体课件的使用可以使教学过程程序化，大大提高教学的效率，这一点对我们农村学校课时少的小学英语课尤为重要。
⒊把英语学习从有限的课内时空扩展到无限的课外时空，成立小小英语角、学校布置英语走廊、让学生制作英语画刊等各种形式的活动极大地提高了学生学英语的热情，让学生感受到英语无处不在、无时不学。
三、努力总结和发现问题，及时调整教学策略。
在实际教学过程中，教师应积极实践，不断探索，针对实际工作中出现的问题和学生身心特点，总结规律，认真思考，不断摸索。尤其是在课堂教学中教师应具备良好的应变机制。以下图表是小学三年级英语课堂教学中的一些实际案例。从中我们可能会有所提示。

四、认真进行质量监控、积极推进评价改革
采用人本与发展的模式来理解教育和人类发展的关系，是当前教育理念的核心，即尊重个体和个体
差异，实施因材施教，实现全人教育，为个体的终身学习打下基矗因此，在教学中必须实施新的评价理念，提倡形成性评价和终结性评价有机结合。做到评价主体互动化，评价内容多元化，评价过程动态化。评价的基本目标是为了教育并促进学生的表现，要求教师尊重和爱护每个学生的学习积极性，对学生的成绩和点滴进步适时地加以肯定。采用口头表扬和精神奖励的方式，如奖给小红花、红星、纸制奖牌、课文中的人物卡通图片等。特别要注意对学习后进的学生所取得的进步及时给予表扬。要求评价形式具有多样性和可选择性，以形成性评价为主，以学生平时参与各种英语教学活动所表现的兴趣、态度和交流能力为主要依据。采用学生平时教学活动中常见的方式进行，重视学生的态度、参与的积极性、努力的程度、交流的能力以及合作的精神等。通过观察学生的活动（讲故事、说歌谣、唱歌曲、表演对话或短剧等），与学生交流，学生的自评、互评等生动活泼的方式进行。很多学校建立了学生的评价档案。如学生的语音、书写记录，学生参与小组活动的情况记载，学生课余时间的学习拓展情况等统统作为学期总成绩评定的指标参考。由于注重对学生平时学习情况及时地进行评价，有效地提高了学生学英语的积极性。除形成性评价外，小学三年级期末或学年考试以口试和听力考查为主，五、六年级采用口试、听力、笔试相结合的方式。口试主要考查学生实际的语言应用能力；笔试主要考查学生听和读的技能以及初步的写作能力。评价采用等级制或达标方法记成绩，不对学生按成绩排队或以此作为各种评比或选拔的依据。教学评价是为学习服务的，目的在于提高学生学习的效率，成为学生学习的动力和源泉，为学生的终身发展服务。
有效教学在小学英语教学中的实施是为了提高教师的工作效益、强化过程评价和目标管理。为此我始终从教学的准备、教学的实施、教学的评价三方面入手，自始至终地关注学生的进步和发展、关注教学效益，关注教学中的可测性。同时教师还应具备一种反思的意识，不断地调整自己的教学行为掌握相关的教学策略，以便于自己面对具体的情景做出相应的决策，获取最大的教学效益。
英语教学工作总结
这学期是我任教的第一学期，我担任初一级七班，八班的英语教学。由于教学经验颇浅。因此，我对教学工作不敢怠慢，认真学习，深入研究教法，虚心向前辈学习。经过一个学期的努力，获取了很多宝贵的教学经验。以下是我在本学期的教学情况。
教学就是教与学，两者是相互联系，不可分割的，有教者就必然有学者。学生是被教的主体。因此，了解和分析学生情况，有针对地教对教学成功与否至关重要。最初接触教学的时候，我还不懂得了解学生对教学的重要性，只是专心研究书本，教材，想方设法令课堂生动，学生易接受。但一开始我就碰了钉子。在讲授第一课的时候，我按照自己的教学设计，上了一堂自认为明白易懂而又不死板的课，认为教学效果如期理想，怎知小测出来才知道不如人意。后来听同学们反应，才知道我讲的口语大部分同学听不懂，而教学的部分内容同学们以前从来未接触过。从而可知，我在上课前根本没有了解清楚学生的实际情觯?br>
一方面，农村的学生英语听，说的能力相对较弱，授课采用较深的全英教学，同学们还不能适应。另一方面，七班的同学比较活跃，上课气氛积极，但中等生占较大多数，尖子生相对较少。因此，讲得太深，没有照顾到整体，而八班的同学比较沉静，学习欠积极性，虽然优良生比例大，但中下层面而也广，我备课时也没有注意到这点，因此教学效果不如理想。从此可以看出，了解及分析学生实际情况，实事求是，具体问题具体分析，做到因材施教，对授课效果有直接影响。这就是教育学中提到的“备教法的同时要备学生”。这一理论在我的教学实践中得到了验证。
教学中，备课是一个必不可少，十分重要的环节，备学生，又要备教法。备课不充分或者备得不好，会严重影响课堂气氛和积极性，曾有一位前辈对我说：“备课备不好，倒不如不上课，否则就是白费心机。”我明白到备课的重要性，因此，每天我都花费大量的时间在备课之上，认认真真钻研教材和教法，不满意就不收工。虽然辛苦，但事实证明是值得的。
一堂准备充分的课，会令学生和老师都获益不浅。例如我在教授unit 3 . lesson 9 的时候，这课的主题是“如何询问和回答时间”，教学难度比较大。如果照本宣科地讲授，学生会感到困难和沉闷。为了上好这堂课，我认真研究了课文，找出了重点，难点，准备有针对性地讲。为了令教学生动，不沉闷，我还为此准备了大量的教具，授课时就胸有成竹了。当讲到“half”的时候，我拿出准备好的圆卡纸，把它剪成一半，告诉学生这是圆的一半，也就是half。讲到”quarter”时，又把半圆剪成一半，那么剩下来的就是圆的四分之一，也就是”quarter”了。这样学生就形象地明白了这两个单词。而讲到如何表达时间时，我用了一个用红卡纸做的大钟，同学们一开始就被它吸引住了，显得颇有积极性。用实物让学生练习”what’s the time? it’s”的句型，学生特别用功，教学效果十分理想。相反，我没有认真备课的时候，课堂气氛沉闷，教学效果不好，与此相比可见，认真备课对教学十分重要。特别是对英语这门学生不甚熟悉并感到困难的外语来说至关重要。
备课充分，能调动学生的积极性，上课效果就好。但同时又要有驾驭课堂的能力，因为学生在课堂上的一举一动都会直接影响课堂教学。因此上课一定要设法令学生投入，不让其分心，这就很讲究方法了。上课内容丰富，现实。教态自然，讲课生动，难易适中照顾全部，就自然能够吸引住学生。所以，老师每天都要有充足的精神，让学生感受到一种自然气氛。这样，授课就事半功倍。回看自己的授课，我感到有点愧疚，因为有时我并不能很好地做到这点。当学生在课堂上无心向学，违反纪律时，我的情绪就受到影响，并且把这带到教学中，让原本正常的讲课受到冲击，发挥不到应有的水平，以致影响教学效果。我以后必须努力克服，研究方法，采取有利方法解决当中困难。
英语是一门外语，对学生而言，既生疏又困难，在这样一种大环境之下，要教好英语，就要让学生喜爱英语，让他们对英语产生兴趣。否则学生对这门学科产生畏难情绪，不原学，也无法学下去。为此，我采取了一些方法，就是帮助班上的同学改英文名，尽量多讲一些关于英美国家的文化，生活故事，近来更帮部分同学交上了”penfriend in america”，让他们更了解英语，更喜欢学习英语。因为只有英语水平提高，他们才能达到交异国笔友的目的，同时也可以提高同学们的英语写作能力，对成绩优秀的同学很有好处。
