Opportunities and Challenges
First, I would like to know, what does your destiny offer you? Happiness, wisdom, a strong body or something else. If I had asked this question to president Nixon, he would probably had said,”Our destiny offers not the cup of despair, but the chalice of
opportunity.”
Needleto say, one of the biggest opportunities given to China is the 2016 Olympic Games. Till now, we have used two sevenths of the preparation time. How much changes have you seen? New roads, new subway lines, public-exercising equipments with beautiful colors, large blocks of grafields, and also lots of modern gyms which are under construction.
Other than those, there are even more good effects brought to us by the Olympic Games that cannot be seen directly. For example, more and more people will get to know China. I’m sure the mysterious Chinese culture will attract them strongly. And the games will also do good to the economy and environment, for it is gaining the
attention of foreign investors and the awareneof environmental protection is being strengthened. What is more, Olympic Games give a unique opportunity to inspire and educate a new generation of Chinese
youth with the Olympic values and the Olympic spirit. Now that we have seen so many advances, could you even imagine us losing the holding rights?
I’ve already said a lot about the Olympics and China. But I
think everyone should use some time to think of this question, ”Does the Olympic Games have any special meaning to you?”
For us, I mean the Chinese youth, 2016 Olympic Games is a
tremendous gift. Because what we are waiting for is to do something significant as repaying the love given to us .The society is just like a ship, and in our dreams the captain is waving his hand and saying ”Hey! Come here and take the helm! ”How charming his voice is, but we have never heard of it in our true life. This morning, however, when we wake up, we will see the Olympic Games waving its hand. After chewing, most of us will have at least one plan about what to do for the Olympic Games. And mine is to be a “comforter” ----that is someone who will give comfort to others.
At the end of my speech, I hope all the preparation will go well, and everyone will show their ability to the world. Let us seize opportunities and give a big smile to challenges.

Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls,
I am Chinese. I am proud of being a Chinese with five thousand years of civilization behind. I've learned about the four great inventions made by our forefathers. I've learned about the Great Wall and the Yangtze River. I've learned about Zhang Heng(张衡)and I've learned about Zheng He(郑和)．Who says the Yellow River Civilization has vanished(消失)？I know that my ancestors have made miracles(奇迹)on this fertile land and we're still making miracles. Who can ignore the fact that we have established ourselves as a great state in the world, that we have devised our own nuclear weapons, that we have successfully sent our satellites into space, and that our GNP ranks No. 7 in the world? We have experienced the plunders (掠夺) by other nations, and we have experienced the war. Yet, based on such ruins, there still stands our nation----China, unyielding and unconquerable!
I once came acroan American tourist. She said, “China has a history of five thousand years, but the US only has a history of 200 years. Five thousand years ago, China took the lead in the world, and now it is the US that is leading.”My heart was deeply touched by these words. It is true that we're still a developing nation, but it doesn't mean that we can despise (鄙视) ourselves. We have such a long-standing history, we have such abundant resources, we have such intelligent and diligent people, and we have enough to be proud of. We have reasons to say proudly： we are sure to take the lead in the world in the future again, for our problems are big, but our ambition (雄心) is even bigger, our challenges (挑战) are great, but our will is even greater.
I am Chinese. I have inherited (继承) black hair and black eyes. I have inherited the virtues of my ancestors. I have also taken over responsibility. I am sure, that wherever I go, whatever I do, I shall never forget that I am Chinese!

2. Yes, we can
This is for my people who just lost somebody, your best friend, your baby, your man or your lady. Lift your head to the sky, we will never say bye.
These are words of the song Bye-Bye. Every time when I hear it, I’ll always lose myself in grief recalling the tough time we came through in 2016.
The snow storm, the Tibet issue, the obstruction to the Olympic torch relay，the
earthquake……Time dates back to the day the horrible earth quake occurred in Sichuan, tens of thousands of people lost life and families. I’ll never forget those days I sat front of the TV, moved by people never gave up under ruins even there’s little hope to survive. I’ll never forget those days most newspapers and websites were all in black and white. I’ll never forget those days I had my black coat on, writing down my best wishes to the suffering people.
At the same time, I also remember those days my friends abroad told me that they joined in the protest against western world’s bias on China and the fight against the Tibetan separatists. I can still remember the day when I went to see the torch relay at Hangzhou with heart shaped stickers on cheek. I wore the T-shirt with words Light the Passion, Light the Dream . When the torch passed by, we cheered Go China, Go Beijing, sang the national anthem again and again, waving flags, dancing, hugging, clapping.
It was the opening ceremony of 2016 Beijing Olympic Games which shocked the whole world and told the entire human Yes, we can.
Yes, we can, because we are united and brave
Yes, we can because we have trust and love
Yes, we can because we are the member of the great nation China

I’m so happy that I can be admitted by my dreamed school. The new campus gives me a new start so I have a dream that the future me can rise out this small world and hold a place of myself, after several years’ experience . 我太高兴了，我可以承认我的梦想学校。新校园给了我一个新的开始，所以我有一个梦想，今后我可以摆脱这个小世界和举行地点的我，经过几年的经验。
In order to make this dream come true, I ask myself not only focus my attention on studies ,because I should face all the society not only my textbooks or my classmates.
为了使这一梦想成真，我问自己，不仅集中了我的注意学习，因为我应该面对所有的社会不仅是我的教科书或我的同学。
I think college is also a small society where I can improve myself .For example I should learn how to get along with other though I may dislike them ,or how to deal with things that I used regard as worthleand so on.. 我认为，大学也是一个小社会里，我可以提高自己。例如我应该学会如何相处与其他虽然我可能不喜欢他们，或如何处理的事情，我使用方面的毫无价值的，等等..
Then I sincerely hope I can find my true friends so that we can struggle for our dreams together! 然后，我真诚地希望我能找到我真正的朋友，使我们能够为我们的斗争中共同的梦想!
Although every thing is unforeseeable, I believe my dream will come true as long as I stick to them and never give up!

4. I love english
As everyone knows,English is very important today.It has been used everywhere in the world.It has become the most common language on Internet and for international trade. If we can speak English well,we will have more chance to succeed.Because more and more people have taken notice of it,the number of the people who go to learn English has increased at a high speed. But for myself,I learn English not only because of its importance and its usefulness,but also because of my love for it.When I learn English, I can feel a different way of thinking which gives me more room to touch the world.When I read English novels,I can feel the pleasure from the book which is different from reading the translation.When I speak English, I can feel the confident from my words.When I write English,I can see the beauty which is not the same as our Chinese...
I love English,it gives me a colorful dream.I hope I can travel around the world one day. With my good English, I can make friends with many people from different contries.I can see many places of great intrests.I dream that I can go to London,because it is the birth place of English.
I also want to use my good English to introduce our great places to the English spoken people,I hope that they can love our country like us.
I know, Rome was not built in a day. I believe that after continuous hard study, one day I can speak English very well.

Hello, everyone.I am very glad to have this chance to join this speech contest.I am li Mengtian.I am from Wan Fang Middle School . Today the topic of my speech is “Healthy Lifestyle”.
Health is very important in our life.If you want to have a happy life,you must have a healthy lifestyle.Do you know how we keep in good health?Let me tell you.
Everyone knows a good eating habit is very important for us .But not many people have time to think about what to eat .In many western countries.fast food is very popular.Because people don't have time to eat,and they also think fast food is very delicious.In America,an American can eat about three hamburgers and four bags of French chips every day.That is 2520 calories.But we know a person need about only 2000 calories for a day.So you see , many Americans are very fat. We should have a good eating habit at once.What should we do?
People always say,"An apple e day,keeps the doctor away."Drinking milk is also good for us.And we need a balance of "yin"and "yang".It's a traditional Chinese way to keep healthy.We shouldn't eat too much unhealthy food like junk food.Now , I will tell you what food are best for our health . Eggs have too much protein , you know protein is good for kids.And tomatoes have too many vitamins , it's good for everybody.Oh , soybean , carrots , seafood , green tea ,pawpaw , oranges , strawberries and so on are also healthy food . Please eat more these kinds of food!
We know that exercise is also very important . Exercising can make children more alert . There are many ways to exercise . You can run , swim , skate or play ball games like basketball , volleyball , football and golf . But maybe you don't know walking is also good for our body , and maybe it's better than other sports . You should exercise in the morning , because you can enjoy fresh air then . Some people like exercising at fitnecenters , there are a lot of equipments . You should exercise for 20 minutes every day . Don't exercise too much . It's bad for us!
And a good sleeping habit is good for us , too .Before we go to bed,we should drink some milk, it can help us sleep well.But I know some people always can't sleep well.I think they shouldn't, take a sleeping pill . After evening meal , they should go for walk or have conversations with their family or listen some light music . Maybe these activities can make them than sleep well.
Happinelies first of all in health .Now , you must know many things about healthy lifestyle . If you want to have happy life , you should have a good eating habit , exercise every day and sleep well . So I wish everyone's life is getting hathier and heathier ,happier and happier , more and more wonderful!

Hello everyone, The topic of my speech is The person I admire most.
The person I admire is a policeman. He was 1.83 metres tall. Of course he was very strong. He often helped others, but never asked for anything in return.
On the evening of March 14th, 2016, a tragedy happened. When a womam was walking along the road ,suddenly a young man rushed to her and robbed her handbag .She ran after the man and shouted ,“Help！ Help！That man robbed me of my handbag１The policemen happened to be passing there. When he heard this, he began to run after the robber. After a while, the policemen caught the man.
The man fought back. Suddenly he took out a sharp knife .But the policemen did not notice it. The man thrust the knife into the policemen’s chest. The policemen fell to the ground bleeding. At last the man was caught, but the policemen couldn’t stand up any more. When I heard this, I cried for a long time.
Though the policemen died, he will live in my memory forever.
